Nicholas Sofokleous is a contemporary artist renowned for his dynamic and

icons, which sees him working primarily in egg tempera on wooden panels,

meticulously following the traditional process from preparing the wooden

surface with layers of gesso to applying radiant gold leaf and hand-mixing

natural pigments.


Having featured in numerous exhibitions across the UK and Europe, his growing reputation

has also earned him appearances on television, where he has shared insights into his creative

process and discussed his approach to art.
